everyone grinds leetcode but nobody practices the actual interview conversation

i've done maybe 200+ hours of leetcode over the years. still bombed interviews because i couldn't explain my thought process out loud without sounding robotic or freezing up.

the coding part? usually fine. the part where you have to walk someone through your resume, or explain why you left your last job, or talk through a system design while making eye contact? that's where i'd fall apart.

i kept seeing the same pattern with friends too. they'd ace the technical screen, then get feedback like "seemed unsure" or "communication could be stronger." nobody was failing because they couldn't code — they were failing the conversation.

so i built something to fix that specific gap. it's called nxtinterview. you upload your resume, pick the role you're prepping for, and it generates realistic interview questions. then you practice answering out loud — either recording yourself or doing a live mock with an ai interviewer that actually responds to what you say.

no leetcode. no algorithm puzzles. just the part of the interview that actually decides whether they like you as a person they'd work with.
