everyone grinds leetcode but almost no one practices the actual interview conversation

i've watched friends nail every technical round and still bomb the behavioral or stumble when asked to walk through their resume. spent 80 hours on leetcode, maybe 20 minutes thinking about how to actually talk in the room.

i'm vamshi, solo dev who just shipped nxtinterview after noticing this gap over and over. candidates treat coding prep like a sport — structured, daily, measurable. but the conversation part? they wing it. no one practices explaining their thought process out loud, handling curveballs, or sounding confident when they're nervous.

the thing that pushed me to build it: a friend who's legitimately talented got to final rounds at three companies and couldn't land any of them. not because of skill, but because he'd freeze up or ramble when asked behavioral questions. he had no reps. no way to know what he sounded like under pressure.

so i built a tool that lets you do mock interviews — resume-based questions, behavioral prep, situational prompts — and actually practice responding out loud. you can record yourself, review it, iterate. the idea is to get reps the same way you'd get reps solving problems, but for the conversation itself.
